Mrs. Younger received her Bachelors of Arts in elementary education at San Diego State University. She served as a kindergarten teacher at Rodeo Hills Elementary and completed her teaching credential program through California State University Fresno. In 2008 Mrs. Younger joined the Higher Learning Academy team. 

After 7 years as a classroom teacher Mrs. Younger became the first Vice Principal at Higher Learning Academy. She participated in the Leadership Development Academy, Crucial Conversations book study, Brown Bag Administrators meetings and Curriculum Breakfasts at the Sacramento County of Education.

Now serving as Principal she enjoys working closely with all stakeholders in creating Future Leaders at HLA.

Jackie Smith is the administrative assistant for Higher Learning Academy. Her dedication to the school, teachers, and parents is widely recognized.

Mrs. Rose will be returning for her fifth year at HLA.

Ms. Erika will be returning for her second year with the HLA ASES After-School Program.
